Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century 24/25
The Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century is one of the world’s leading orchestras in the field of historically informed performance practice. The musicians play internationally in leading (chamber) music ensembles and come together several times a year for performances of iconic and lesser-known repertoire.
The orchestra achieved global recognition in the early 1980s for its performances of symphonic works on period instruments using historically informed practices. A revolution that has never really stopped.
