Amsterdam Sinfonietta consists of 23 top-level musicians, playing together as one. Led by artistic director Candida Thompson the orchestra tours the globe with their adventurous programmes and cross-overs with other genres and art forms.
With enormous drive, Amsterdam Sinfonietta have established themselves as the go to string orchestra of the Netherlands, and gained international recognition. Perfecting the string orchestra genre as well as revolutionizing it at the highest level. Since its inception, the orchestra has embraced the full repertoire for string orchestras, from classics to new commissions and arrangements.
