A Myth

In A Myth, six performers take you into an ethereal and poetic universe. Walk through an unrecognizable space, strain your ears and squint your eyes. Everything you try to grasp slips through your fingers. In the universe of composer-director Mees Vervuurt, music and visual elements go hand in hand. Vervuurt is currently creating a sensation with A Myth, which is, to date, the largest and most impressive example of his unique location performances.

In his performances, Mees Vervuurt often creates a dynamic tension with the surrounding space. He invites the listener to unwind and slow down in the Grote Zaal. In A Myth, the audience becomes part of an ethereal and poetic world, where echoing voices, trombone sounds, piano melodies, and movement combine into a grand, physical composition.
