Piano legend gives rare concert in the Netherlands

Under the tutelage of Arthur Rubinstein and Alfred Brendel, Imogen Cooper developed into one of the greatest British pianists of her generation. Cooper’s performances in the Netherlands have been few and far between in recent years. This concert is a unique opportunity to see her and hear her perform, and to experience first-hand the exquisite beauty of Schubert’s complete Impromptus.

Schubert holds a special place in Cooper’s heart, and her poetic interpretations of his music have earned her widespread acclaim. Cooper also performs Beethoven’s Seven Bagatelles and music by Bach-Busoni in her own unique style. Perhaps not coincidentally, all these works have been recorded by Brendel. His lessons are a lifelong source of inspiration for Cooper.
