Subtle sonic worlds and an eclectic sound novel

Harpsichordist Goska Isphording performs three works by contemporary female composers, including the Dutch premiere of a piece by Anahita Abbasi. This layered journey through sonic worlds is rich with subtlety and drama, moving from the quiet yet eruptive nature of the Icelandic landscape to the microtonal nuances of Finzi’s Espressivo and Abbasi’s exploration of the dimensions of distance.

Multidisciplinary artist and clarinetist Oguz Büyükberber reflects on his own distorted and severely limited vision in Processing. Inspired by influences ranging from pop culture to psychoanalysis and icons such as Boulez, Kraftwerk, and Cage, this work is an eclectic and deeply personal sound novel.

This concert takes place at the Plein Theatre as part of the Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam series.
