A festive New Year’s celebration with music, singing and dance from the Rif and the Atlas

Join us for a festive celebration of Amazigh New Year, as we usher in Yennayer 2975. This special evening is dedicated to the rich and diverse culture of the Imazigh people, the original inhabitants of North Africa. The programme offers a unique blend of music, singing and dance. The performers bring to life stories and traditions from different Amazigh areas, like the Atlas, the Rif and the Anti-Atlas, sung in Tamazight and characterized by authentic Amazigh melodies.

Zakaria Ghafouli is renowned for his unique ability to give traditional Amazigh music a modern twist. Wafa Miras, a versatile singer and performer, combines both power and drama in her impressive singing style. Dance troupe Ahwach Affous Roffous performs the energetic songs and group dances that are characteristic of the Anti-Atlas. The Marmoucha Ensemble presents its own unique repertoire, accompanying all soloists, and blending these styles with contemporary influences.

The night wraps up with a celebratory after party in the Entrance Hall, featuring a performance by popular Riffian singer Hassan Twill.
