Energetic and melancholic music for four clarinets

What’s special about the horizon is that it always moves with you. The four clarinettists of the adventurous Horizon Quartet are well aware of this. They hail from different corners of the world and got to know each other at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In this energetic and melancholic programme, they combine music from Spain and Latin America with hints of jazz and an iconic aria from an opera by Rossini.

The four clarinettists of the Horizon Quartet are Vladislav Petry (Ukraine), Marco Conti Bellocchi (Italy), Francisco Ramírez Campos and José Manuel Aceveda Real (Spain). The ensemble has only been playing together for a short time, but they perform with the finesse and cohesion of a veteran group. Recently, they performed the premiere of a forgotten work from World War II by composer Julius Hijman, which was released on CD by Donemus in the Forbidden Music Regained series.
