Two multi-talents in one concert: Lucie Horsch and Klaus Mäkelä

Two multi-talents in one concert: The Nederlandse Muziekprijs (Dutch Music Award) couldn’t have been awarded to a more deserving winner than Lucie Horsch. She brings the same expressiveness she shows on the recorder to her singing and piano playing. Klaus Mäkelä, the future chief conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, is also a remarkable cellist.

Michael Gieler, artistic director of IJ-Salon: ‘I have known Lucie since she was a little girl, the daughter of our colleague Gregor Horsch. It was already evident at that time that her immense talent could not be confined to the recorder, although she has accomplished amazing things with it. We are looking forward to getting to know her as a pianist and as a singer.’
