La Femme Lumineuse turns the spotlight on the works of contemporary female composers. Under the baton of talented conductor Heide Müller, Cappella Amsterdam presents modern masterpieces, known as the ‘new classics’. These musical gems, seldom performed in the Netherlands, offer a fresh and contemporary approach to music, with light as the central theme.
Lighting designer Floriaan Ganzevoort adds a visual dimension, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The selection of pieces reflects the mission of making contemporary music by female composers accessible to a wider audience.
