The greatest composers wrote their finest works for the string quartet. During the fourth edition of the String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam, you can hear them: a week full of pure passion and magic. In forty concerts and a rich context programme, the string quartet can be discovered in its full glory; tradition, experiment, future. Long live the string quartet!
From 27 January to 3 February 2024, you can fully immerse yourself in the string quartet from morning to night. This year’s edition features (among others): Danish String Quartet, Belcea Quartet, Doric String Quartet, Jerusalem Quartet, Marmen Quartet, Ragazze Quartet, Leonkoro Quartett, Brentano String Quartet, Butter Quartet, Kitgut Quartet, Australian String Quartet, Animato Kwartet, Calder Quartet, Simply Quartet, Solem Quartet, Matangi Quartet, Tetzlaff Quartett, Dudok Quartet Amsterdam, Signum Quartett, Isidore String Quartet, Quatuor Confluence, Belinfante Quartet, Karski Quartet.
Special guests: Lou Bennett, Tabea Zimmermann, Antoine Hunter, Amandine Beyer, Davóne Tines, Ruben Hein, Lute Legends, Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century.
And (world) premieres by Bushra El-Turk / Seung-Won Oh / Garth Knox / James MacMillan / Paul Stanhope & Lou Bennett / Lou Bennett & Iain Grandage / Moya Henderson / Ayanna Witter-Johnson.

Buy tickets for a minimum of 3 concerts in the festival and receive festival discounts. The more concerts you attend, the higher the discount:
• 20% off if you book 3 to 6 different concerts
• 25% off if you book 6 to 9 different concerts
• 35% off if you book 9 or more different concerts
The discount applies to the normal admission price and cannot be combined with the Stadspas and CJP rates.
