The Netherlands Bach Society is a pioneering vocal-instrumental ensemble. Over a century ago, the ensemble started performing Johann Sebastian Bach’s St. Matthew Passion in the Grote Kerk (main church) of Naarden. Since then, the Bach Society has been passionately dedicated to sharing Bach’s music with the world.
The ensemble delivers on its Bach for everyone mission through roughly sixty concerts annually, as well as educational projects and talent development. Moreover, the Bach Society’s ‘All of Bach’ YouTube channel extends this mission globally, offering free, premium audio and video recordings that allow anyone to experience the beauty of Bach’s music.
Professional musicians, both instrumental and vocal, form the Bach Society’s ensemble. They perform on historical instruments, fuelled by curiosity and a shared passion for music. Their hearts beat for Bach and his contemporaries.
