Amsterdam Sinfonietta consists of 23 top musicians who play together as one. Led by artistic director Candida Thompson, the orchestra tours all over the world with adventurous programmes and crossovers with other musical genres and art forms.
With tremendous drive, Amsterdam Sinfonietta has developed into the Netherlands’ leading string orchestra and an orchestra of world-class reputation. It performs its own unique genre and it innovates at the highest level. Since its inception, the orchestra has embraced the entire repertoire for string orchestra, from classics to new commissions and arrangements.
