The Flamenco Biennial is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In the celebratory opening weekend of its tenth edition, the festival presents the diverse expressions of modern flamenco art, with exciting musical crossovers and new vistas by international pioneers.
Radical creators, young talent, and guardians of tradition bring adventurous programmes and world premieres. After the opening weekend at the Muziekgebouw and Bimhuis – ‘the festival’s beating heart chambers’ (Volkskrant) – the festival continues in Utrecht, The Hague, Rotterdam, Kerkrade, Arnhem and Tilburg. Three weeks of flamenco in all shades, with today’s flamenco trendsetters.
