Bruckner 8

Bruckner's Symphony No 8 is a mighty edifice and an exhilarating journey from darkness into light. Bruckner was a very pious man and honoured God with grand musical cathedrals. This monumental symphony is the perfect example. Using simple motifs and themes as building blocks, he created grand forms. The world of the Eighth Symphony is by turns complex, lovely, peaceful and turbulent - Bruckner invites you in, takes you away and does not let you go.

Symphony orchestra Bellitoni celebrated its 45th anniversary in 2024 and now returns to the Muziekgebouw with chief Jurjen Hempel. The enthusiasm and drive of the orchestra members are reflected in the high standard of the concerts, which has earned the orchestra a prominent place in the amateur circuit of the Netherlands.
