Close Encounters of the Queer Kind

The Amsterdam Gay Men’s Chorus (AMSGMC) is bringing its annual summer show to the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, this time on a voyage of discovery that will uncover the many meanings of outer space for the queer community. Reflecting the chorus’ own diverse musical tastes, nearly 100 singers and dancers will perform space-themed hits from artists such as Jamiroquai, Lady Gaga, Bjork, Radiohead and the unmissable David Bowie. 

AMSGMC is the largest LGBTQ+ chorus in the Netherlands, made up of gay, bi and queer men of more than thirty nationalities. The chorus has a mission to use the power of music and dance to bring people together in a setting where they can be themselves.
