Konrad Koselleck’s jazzy take on Bruckner

Jazz pianist, arranger and composer Konrad Koselleck seems an oddity with his big band. Bruckner with a jazzy twist? Absolutely. Although Koselleck remains faithful to the composer’s vision and the essence of Bruckner’s Sixth Symphony. A surprising take on Bruckner with a big band that has more than earned its spurs.

Konrad Koselleck brought together the cream of the crop of the Dutch jazz scene in 2004 to form the Konrad Koselleck Big Band. The adventurous company seeks to connect with audiences on both an artistic and social level, and has already shared the stage with artists such as Ellen ten Damme, Freek de Jonge, and Claron McFadden. In 2016, Koselleck, his band and Edwin Rutten had a CD hit with The Young Person’s Guide to the Big Band.
