Muzikale mindfulness-ervaring op een yogamat

Atem is a meditative experience where performance and ritual meet, with breathing as the foundation and the source of all harmony. Visitors can participate on yoga mats around soprano Elisabeth Hetherington. By breathing, humming and moving with her, they are part of the performance. Regular seats are also available for those who prefer that. For this special occasion, sound magician Wouter Snoei will work his magic to transform the Muziekgebouw into a nature chapel. Drawing on these elements, Hetherington’s performance encompasses both improvisation and songs by Morton Feldman and Hildegard von Bingen.

For many years, Silbersee has been a regular presence at the Muziekgebouw. With roots in opera, ranging from Claudio Monteverdi to Karlheinz Stockhausen, the ensemble welcomes unconventional talents from various genres and disciplines to create performances about the world of today.

PLEASE NOTE: There are two types of tickets for the performance. Type "Deelnemer / Participant" is for visitors seated on yoga mats around soprano Elisabeth Hetherington. Type "Normaal / Regular" is for audience members who prefer regular seating.

PLEASE NOTE: there is no dressing room. Please bring your own yoga mat.
