Music and juggling: a new, unique genre

Composer Arthur Wagenaar and juggler Guido van Hout combine their forces and merge music and juggling into something completely new. Thanks to self-built instruments, juggling becomes music, and music is created through juggling. This gives rise to a whole new genre, unique in the Netherlands.

Warboel is a musical juggling performance about connection and loneliness. Two music jugglers, a singer and a choir initiate a ritual in which the audience and the performers are challenged to make connections with each other. Is this healing, or does it become one big tangle?

This concert takes place at the Plein Theatre as part of the Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam series.
