What could be better for a cello student than being taught by an idol? During the Cello Biennale, cello students from all over the world come to Amsterdam to learn from today's cello grandmasters. A masterclass should also not be missed at The Kick-Off.

Pieter Wispelwey, the Netherlands' most famous cellist and teacher at the conservatories of Düsseldorf and Amsterdam, will give the masterclass in his well-known, energetic way. The masterclass lasts two hours during which three cello students receive lessons. The piano accompaniment is provided by regular pianist of the Cello Biennale Noriko Yabe.
