The New European Ensemble (NEuE) was founded in the Netherlands in 2009 by a group of passionate international musicians. The ensemble’s mission: to present contemporary and 20th-century repertoire in a moving and accessible way to a wide audience.
NEuE regularly seeks combinations with film, literature, dance, theatre and the visual arts. Composers such as Mark Anthony Turnage, José María Sánchez-Verdú, Anna Thorvaldsdóttir, Guo Wenjing, Carlo Boccadoro, Martijn Padding and Klas Torstensson have written works for the ensemble.
