String quartets

Let the string quartets work their magic

Four souls, one mind: the string quartet, the pinnacle of musical expression. And there is no place where string quartets sound more beautiful than in the clear acoustics of the Muziekgebouw.

This season, the world’s finest quartets are once again coming to Amsterdam, including regular guests Danish String Quartet, Belcea Quartet, and Quatuor Diotima. Less well-known but astonishingly good is Quatuor Van Kuijk, which, like the multi-talented Quatuor Ébène musicians, hails from France. From Beethoven to Ravel and Schönberg, and of course the latest music: open your ears and let yourself be transported to another world.
