The Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Amsterdam music conservatory) and the Muziekgebouw have a long history of working closely together. Top students of this prestigious international music institute gain stage experience with the concerts in this series, under the guidance of renowned conductors. The best composition students get the chance to write new works, which are performed in the Muziekgebouw.
Stage experience inside and outside the concert hall
The students of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam can also be heard outside this series. For instance, they give lunchtime concerts, hold monthly pre- and post-programmes under the name Echoes of Nothing, and give mini-performances in the Entreehal prior to concerts in the String Quartet series.
