Voices From The Lake

Voices from the Lake, het project van de Italiaanse dj's en producers Donato Dozzy en Neel, ontstond tijdens de 2011 editie van Labyrinth Festival in Japan. Tijdens Amsterdam Dance Event brengen ze hun nonconformistische versie van ambient en leftfield techno naar Muziekgebouw, met een integrale uitvoering van hun titelloze debuutalbum. Deze plaat geldt als blauwdruk voor spiritueel geladen ambient techno en is een meditatieve trip vol lichtvoetige bassen en melodieën. Subtiel en hypnotiserend.

De twee vormen een perfecte match met producer en dj Nadia Struiwigh, wiens detailrijke en experimentele ambient al net zo geraffineerd en betoverend is. In 2021 bracht ze haar derde album uit op het Rotterdamse label Nous’klaer.

De performances worden omlijst door dj-sets van Loradeniz, componist, zangeres en pianist afkomstig uit Istanbul en gevestigd in Amsterdam. Door haar muzikale achtergrond en haar passie voor raves weet zij als DJ de meest uiteenlopende stijlen te combineren.

Voices from the Lake, the project of Italian DJs and producers Donato Dozzy and Neel, was formed during the 2011 edition of Labyrinth Festival in Japan. This Amsterdam Dance Event they will bring their nonconformist version of ambient and leftfield techno to Muziekgebouw, performing their self-titled debut album in full. Acclaimed as an influential benchmark of spiritually charged ambient techno, the record patiently unfolds free-floating bass and harmonics with a meditative gracefulness. Subtle and hypnotic.

The two are a perfect match with producer and DJ Nadia Struiwigh, whose detailed and experimental ambient is just as refined and enchanting. In 2021 she released her third album with the Rotterdam recordlabel Nous'klaer.

The performances will be framed by Loradeniz, an electronic music composer and DJ born in Istanbul and currently based in Amsterdam. Drawing on her unique skill set of being a pianist, vocalist, and composer, she is able to cover a range of styles and forms while embodying the heart of the true raver’s spirit.
